That being said, I never, ever pre-order digital games so if Starfield is a total dud then I'll pick up BG3 instead. I made the decision to go with Starfield over BG3 since I'd gotten FFVII Remake and Red Dead 2 on Steam sales this summer. Otherwise I went and saw Barbie Friday (it was freaking fantastic) and then spent the rest of the weekend cleaning in preparation for my league's fantasy football draft yesterday. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it runs (honestly runs better than it ran on my PS4 pro back in the day lol), though I hate having to deal with the Rockstar Launcher and it's buggy cloud saves. I played Red Dead 2 and got it running on my newly repaired Steam Deck. Since the last Zelda game I played was link to the past since I haven't owned a console since the SNES I'll have to go with BG3 since it's a game I can actually play. As it it seems like I might be going the lone wolf route that is so terrible in a regular D&D game. Starting to wonder if I'm supposed to play an evil nutjob or someone super naive and clueless to have a party in this game. Found a human wizard that is tolerable so far, but just waiting to find out what is horribly wrong with him hidden just below the surface. I really don't want to have that hanging around. Then while I don't have any proof, we have what is obviously a vampire with backstabby tendencies. Found out the half-elf cleric worships Shar which is one of the worst most evil gods in forgotten realms so yeah I'm going to pass on hanging out with that and considering just killing her for being a pyscho evil cultist. I don't want a bossy bitchy githyanki who is dumb as a post yelling at me constantly. So far I'm kind of hating all the NPC companions though. I'm very eager for mods to add better subclass options though. I did play BG3 this weekend and after making a dozen characters just to get a feel for how some of the rules are different from 5e and only getting just past getting off the ship I finally settled on a character and made some progress. Had a change in who was available and who was missing so instead of Shadowrun saturday we played D&D and just hung out in a city causing trouble.
